Lillian Espinal was born and raised in Washington Heights, New York. Lillian considers her faith, family and her son Keanen to be most important to her. In her debut book, Lillian reflects on Luna's parent's journey, which mirrors the struggle her parents went through in their quest to have a better life and future in the US from the Dominican Republic.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Jhoselin moved to New York at a young age and had to adapt fast to the new environment. Growing up, she had to deal with the cultural changes, language barrier, and living as an immigrant in a foreign country.
A firm believer in continuous learning, Jhoselin holds a MBA in Computer Infor Systems.
Writing always felt innate to her as she began early on as a teenager. Her experiences as an immigrant have enabled her to capture in detail how children perceive such life changes and events and how to deal with their emotions. As an author, Jhoselin loves writing poetry, memoirs, and novellas. She was integral to writing the Essays on the Dominican Matriarch, "La Doña of my Domain." Jhoselin enjoys spending time with her family and reading novels.

Zomely Grullon is a writer, artist, advocate, educator, and counselor, and a believer in the power of playfulness and embracing your inner child. She has a Masters degree in Psychology and currently lives in New York with her cat, Luna. She is passionate about addressing the social justice issues, interpersonal violence, and cycles of abuse affecting her community and society as a whole in her career. She is the only daughter of immigrants from the Dominican Republic, where most of her family resides. She was born and raised in New York, with yearly visits to DR, and both places have heavily influenced her work and are close to her heart.
She is an educator, counselor, and facilitator who works with young people, families, and professionals in her community, focusing on supporting the development of healthy relationships and ending intimate partner violence. Her career is rooted in anti-violence work, with a specific interest in ending gender based violence, sexual violence, intimate partner violence, as well as advocating for marginalized communities, LGBTQ+ rights, racial equity, diversity and inclusion, social-emotional learning, healing from trauma, and cultivating resilience and empathy.
Zomely brings all of her life experiences, both personal and professional, into her creative works, and is passionate about uplifting and honoring the stories and people that have historically been kept out of the mainstream. She enjoys learning and creating, reading about psychology and history, traveling, and watching cartoons with her cat.
